KCalorie Tracker is a mobile-first calorie and macro tracking app. You photograph a meal, or describe it in a sentence, and the app estimates its calories, protein, carbohydrates and fat. It keeps a searchable catalogue of the foods you eat, tracks weight, water and exercise alongside your intake, and a weekly “Coach” summarises the past seven days.
What it costs
A$3.50 / month
Billed monthly in Australian dollars. Cancel any time.
New accounts get a 7-day free trial of every AI feature. No payment details are required to start the trial — you are not asked for a card until you choose to subscribe, and nothing is charged automatically when the trial ends.
Free forever, with no subscription
A subscription is not required to use KCalorie Tracker as a food diary. These features are free and stay free:
- Logging meals by hand, and re-logging anything already in your catalogue
- Barcode scanning, using the Open Food Facts database
- Meal templates and copying a previous day
- Weight, water and exercise tracking
- Your full history, charts and logging streak
- Exporting all of your data as a CSV file
- Editing and deleting anything you have logged
If a subscription lapses, your data is never locked or deleted and the app does not become read-only. You keep logging, editing, viewing your history and exporting.
What the subscription adds
The subscription covers the features that use AI:
- Photo meal analysis — estimating nutrition from a photograph
- Text and voice quick-log — estimating nutrition from a description
- The weekly Coach — a written summary of your last seven days
- Recipe and food enrichment — recipes, origin notes and facts for the foods in your catalogue
Daily limits apply to these features to keep the service sustainable; the current limits are shown in the app under Settings.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription inside the app, which opens a billing portal where you can cancel, update your card, or view your invoices. Cancelling stops the next payment; your subscription stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Important limitations
Nutrition figures produced by KCalorie Tracker are AI-generated estimates, not measurements. They can be wrong, sometimes substantially, and they should be treated as a guide rather than a precise figure.
KCalorie Tracker provides general wellness information only. It is not medical advice, and it is not designed or suitable for managing a medical condition. In particular, it must not be used to calculate insulin doses or any other medication. If you have a health condition affected by diet, speak to a qualified health professional.
